Why I always receive e-Mail SPAMs?

Category: Personal Blogs

SPAM is a slang name for Unsolicited Commercial Email usually recognized as a bulk email. Ever experienced logging in to your email account and surprised for having to receive numerous emails which seem to be out of sense and of nothing to do with any of your subscriptions? These are SPAMs which commonly attempt invitation to a lot of business opportunities, product endorsements, and even scams. Don’t you wonder why the heck these mails just keep on coming? Actually, it’s just logically simple.

As soon as you disclose any information of your personal email address to any website, you are already prone to SPAM. Notice carefully that almost every website in the world of web which features registrations always require your email address. Basically, this is for the purpose of authenticating that the person in the process of registration is real. Therefore, you always have to include your email address. After this, the website itself enlists your email address to their database and store it for future purposes. Of course, as part of their business strategies, they would always want to stay connected with their clients. A good way would be sending their customers newsletters and constant updates.

Some websites which have a huge listing of email addresses sell these to internet marketers. Do you remember some policies of different websites which include: "we do not sell your email address" or "your email address will not be shown"? This is because, there are also website owners who would like to protect your personal privacy, but most of the time, your email address would always be used for marketing, especially those Social Networks which collects millions of email lists.

The best way for you to prevent tons of SPAMs: As much as possible, carefully examine the website you’ll be registering; if you plan to use your email address for registration, since it will most likely be prone to SPAM, use an alternate email only for the purpose of registrations and reserve another email account for personal use; avoid any way of disclosing your personal email address to any website, especially forums, blogs, and social networks. emoticon
