Chapter 3 : Inspiration |
Yes! She was "Number 2", a stopper on a famous Pinoy card game. A conscience, a guardian, a motivator, and most appropriately, an inspiration. I never had the chance to be her boyfriend, but she was like the most special girl for me. I just don’t know, but even the slightest smile, if it comes from her, then I’d instantly calm down and do what she says. There was even once when a lifetime opportunity just came by. The company said that I’d be hired as a head of a System Analysis Team on a famous corporation in Canada, when Ellaine asked me, "when will you be coming back?" …There was no trace of excitement on her face, only an expression of longing. I did not mind anymore to tell her I’d be in the states for 5 years. I just know, she won’t forgive me if I’d be gone for 5 long years. And I also won’t make it if I knew she won’t be by my side for such a long time. So, without asking her back, I decided to stay.
I never ended regretting every decision I made, because for every action, she was always there. In fact, who I am right now is not because I made it on my own, it’s because, she served as my decisive thought. ‘Coz maybe, and hopefully, she’s what they call, "One’s Cupid’s other bull’s eye."
It’s funny that this dream’s got in a romantic fairy tale. It wasn’t suppose to be like this. He doesn’t care… He can’t hate, nor love, no single evidence of emotion to be found. A stone-hearted, neither cruel nor kind. How would ever Ellaine fall for such a guy. Even if he’d become the best provider, it’d be done with an inhuman manner. Good luck to him! If he’d meet the scene he expects the most, then it’s probably for a reason that fate played along.
